A large pile of clothes was made by whole hearted donation given by the students of this prestigious institute.s It is unfortunate of our nation that besides being a developing country there are thousands of people in our country who do not have even a piece of cloth to cover their body. So it was an another good intiative by this social club in order to help needy and poors. The club members went to the slum areas and distributed the clothes as per the requirements of the people present there. They distributed the clothes according to the size of family and almost everyone of them got clothes. The poors heartly accepted the clothes and showered the club with their blessings. The wide smile that the club members experienced on the faces of the people is enough for them to take such initiatives every time.

Vishwakarma Day

VISHWAKARMA DIWAS
Vishwakarma Day the most important day according to Hindu mythology is celebrated to worship Vishwakarma, the God of mechanism. Vishvakarma was the divine architect, and one of the fourteen precious things born of the Samudra manthan. On this day, Lord Vishwakarma is worshipped, who alone constitutes the entire history with which this festival is linked. He is also called the divine carpenter and is credited as the science of mechanics and architecture.
The sacred Hindu texts also describe many of Lord Vishwakarma's architectural marvels, towns and palaces for the Gods, since ages. Some of them are Swarga in the Satya Yuga; Sone ki Lanka, where demon king Ravana dwelled in the Treta Yuga; the city of Dwarka, the capital of Lord Krishna in the Dwapara Yuga; the town of Hastinapur, the capital of Pandavas and Kauravas from the Mahabharata; and the town of Indraprastha for the Pandavas. The Mahabharata also describes him as "a great and immortal god, the lord of the arts, executor of a thousand handicrafts, the carpenter of the gods, and the most eminent of artisans, the fashioner of all ornaments."
It is celebrated generally on September 17 it is a popular festival in the Eastern and Northern parts of India. The historical relevance related to Vishwakarma Day gains more weightage as not only is Lord Vishwakarma associated with creation but al
so with the manifestation of the sciences of industry to the humankind. The festival is observed primarily in factories and industrial areas and is celebrated with full enthusiasm. Vishwakarma is known to be the divine engineer since the Puranic age. As a mark of reverence he is worshipped not only by the engineering and architectural community, but also by all professionals. Artisans, craftsmen, mechanics, smiths, welders, industrial workers, factory workers, and workers of all kinds worship Lord Vishwakarma on this day and pray for a better future, safe working conditions, and above all success in their respective fields. Workers also pray for the smooth functioning of various machines and therefore on Vishwakarma Day, pandals are set up inside the premises of industries and factories and inside these pandals, images and idols of Lord Vishwakarma are established. The whole workforce, along with each employee's and worker's family, celebrates Vishwakarma Puja in unison. Even the tools, particular to each person's relative field, are worshipped in the name of Lord Vishwakarma and aren't used throughout the day. It's their day off!
Special statues and pictures of Lord Vishwakarma are normally installed in every workplace and factory. All workers gather in one common place and perform the puja. In many factories owner and employees worship Vishwakarma ji for the good working of their works. AS per Indian mythology Vishwakarma puja is also celebrated a day after Diwali, along with Govardhan Puja.
The Vishwakarma puja hopes to bring the happiness that Lord Vishwakarma fills in one’s home with prosperity & fortune……..
